Database Administrator
Innovative Discovery, a growing Digital Forensic, Electronic Discovery, and Hosted Review services provider, is seeking a Database Administrator to join its Engineering group. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for a consulting environment that is dynamic and challenging and will work with the existing team and team leaders to develop his or her skills set.
The infrastructure at Innovative Discovery includes native and virtual Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, GNU/Linux server systems, FibreChannel SAN and iSCSI network storage systems, Gigabit managed switched network architecture, enterprise tape media backup systems, VPN, FTP, eMail, and hosted (Web Browser and Citrix XenApp) application services.
Qualifications include:
At least 3 years, full-time professional experience with direct DBMS management of Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS. Consideration for management of Sybase DBMS, IBM DB2 UDB, INGRES, Postgres, or MySQL.
Strong SQL syntax and semantics, specifically for stored procedures.
Applied performance tuning, query plan evaluation, and system monitoring.
Applied .NET or Java programming experience as related to MSSQL Server or Oracle RDBMS preferred.
Applied experienced with Microsoft Windows Server and GNU/Linux or Sun Solaris host Operating Systems.
Willingness to work extended hours when required by project schedules
